The Brickfield Friends Group works with Lewes District Council to maintain this lovely spot for everyone to enjoy. We meet 3-4 times a year for 1-2 hours to plan activities and events. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch.
Our main activities are:
🌿 wildlife counts (2-3 a year)
🌿 litter picks (about 6 each year)
🌿 maintaining the pond (about twice each year)
🌿 organising the wildlife fair (every summer)

The Friends of Seaford Old Brickfield is a not-for-profit community group and we are always grateful for donations. 100% of our donations are used to look after the field and fund the summer fair. The best way to donate is to contact our treasurer using the link below. We are currently fundraising to:
🌿 restore the historic fingerpost that has been situated on the south east corner of the Brickfield since the 1930s.
🌿 improve the signage and information available about the Old Brickfield
🌿 revitalise our pond which is drying up and depriving many creatures of their safe habitat
🌿 add some more nature-education activities to next year’s wildlife fair
